Title: Assembly Manufacturing Engineer - Product Delivery Process - 106569
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
Your Responsibilities
As an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer for JD Harvester Worldwide Product Development located in East Moline, IL, you will concept and procure assembly tooling, specialized racks, paint tooling, and lifting devices and utilize ETools to determine the sequence of events for new products. In addition, you will:
- Use lean manufacturing principles to develop assembly processes, line design, and factory layouts. Utilize design, tooling, and advanced technologies to integrate mistake-proofing into our parts and methods. Use SAP to develop part parameters and routings
- Lead DFM activities with Design Engineers to resolve manufacturing, safety, and ergonomic issues, and quality metrics. Participate in quality activities such as FGRs, DPARS, and PFMEAs activities.
- Create AFE capital estimates by developing accurate tooling, equipment, facilities, and container/rack cost estimates. Support AFE labor estimates by developing accurate part routings and labor estimates
- Communicate issues and verify safety and ergonomic methods.

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of manufacturing/shop floor experience
- 3 or more years of experience with problem-solving and working in a team environment
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with wage employees, supervisors, managers and other engineers.
- Self-motivator with the ability to learn and execute various tasks with limited supervision.
- 1 or more years of experience managing capital projects.
- Ability to work off-shift or Overtime for production build support
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with MES, JDAAT, and SAP
- Experience with engineering tools (AUTOCAD, CREO, ProE, Solidworks, etc)
- Adaptability to changing business conditions while delivering results
- Understanding of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP)
- Work experience in a union environment
- Experience with tooling design
- Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems, and work measurement
- Experience with line design, material presentation, cycle balancing
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline
