The Assembler I is principally responsible to process the American Aerogel product through refurbishment process. This position insures the quality of the product through each step using self-monitoring and observation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform and maintain high quality throughout all phases of assembly.
- Assist other team members as necessary in order to maintain line flow.
- Cross Train between assembly lines and or work stations.
- Assist in training others as needed.
- Participate in driving improvements by offering suggestions to eliminate waste from work areas.
- Follow all necessary Quality System procedures and work instructions.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and procedures.
- Reject non-conforming parts on a daily basis with clear description of non-conformity.
- Accountable for work flow.
- Maintain cleanliness of area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Flexible for all shifts; willing to work OT and weekends when needed
- Strong attention to detail
- Curiosity and interest in learning
- Basic computer skills
- Must be extremely trust worthy, flexible, and dependable with a good attendance history
- Self-Motivated and able to perform with little direction
- Team-Player- must possess a “can do” attitude and must be able to work with others.
- Proficient English Written and verbal, Good

While performing the duties of this job, candidate will be required to sit and walk around; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls (some repetitive motion); and talk or hear. Also, occasionally will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
