Assembler (Construction)

We are currently seeking two experienced Assemblers to join our team. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling dock shelters and seals according to customer specifications. f you have mechanical knowledge and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Read work order to determine customer specifications.

· Pull product materials from inventory.

· Utilize hand tools and power equipment such as skill saw, drill, nail gun, hammer, utility knife and various measuring tools.

· Cut construction material such as 2 X 4's to proper size.

· Secure foam filling and vinyl material around frame of shelter.

· Assemble seal and shelter according to customer specifications.

· Inspect and ensure quality standards of assembled unit.

· Determine most efficient methods of assembly.

· Work collaboratively with team members to maintain or exceed production standards by delivering product according to customer timelines.

· Maintain inventory, conduct cycle counting and notifying of low raw materials

· Carry out duties by lifting heavy and bulky product, stooping, bending, kneeling and climbing to assemble product.

· Operates company forklift and -man-lift after successful certification.

· Operate overhead cranes.

· Assist with other duties within the department when necessary.

· Work mandatory overtime as seasonal workload dictates.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

· Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Qualifications:

· Previous experience in assembly or a related field preferred

· Mechanical knowledge and aptitude

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and instructions

· Proficiency with power tools and hand tools

· Familiarity with warehouse operations

· Forklift certification is a plus

· Ability to lift heavy objects as required

· Strong attention to detail

· Excellent problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:
