The Role / Responsibilities:
Strong candidates have demonstrated the ability to dive into a complex problem space, identify and articulate user and business needs, and build efficient processes and solutions. You excel at building and fostering relationships with engineers and leadership alike.
Associate Director, Delivery Manager, is a hands-on engineer who works from design through implementation of large-scale systems that is event and data centric for the MA Platform. This is a leadership role in the platform engineering across all of Moody’s Analytics, with the expectation that the candidate will demonstrate and propagate best practices and processes in software development.
- Partner with the development teams on scenarios, product tradeoffs, incremental value delivery.
- Deliver improvement options, data analysis, present proposals for change, requirements definition, and delivery of capabilities.
- Develop dashboards and metrics for tracking feature delivery and improving feature performance.
- Manage dependencies across teams to ensure that features land on time with the required scope across desktop, mobile and web.
- Track all defined deliverables from conception through launch, leveraging established processes, tools, and communications mechanisms
- Provide regular written and presented updates on work to leadership and customers.
- Provide technical and product leadership to a team of highly passionate engineers.
- Work closely with partner teams, building trust and influencing how they can help deliver requirements for special clouds.
- Engage with service owners to triage, prioritize, and address customer feedback for your area.
Product/Service Definition
- Designs and proposes architecture and solutions for complex technical needs, collaborates with internal and external partners, and defines program goals and success metrics for multiple feature areas.
Product/Service Development
- Manages cross-functional projects and teams for multiple feature areas of a product or service.
- Drive customer engagements to deliver well-defined products that generate immediate customer value and high-quality, broadly applicable software contributions to Microsoft products and to open-source communities.
- Participate in hands-on coding validation exercises to maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
Qualifications: style="color:black">
- 5+ years of experience in program or project management in the software industry
- 5+ years of experience with incident management in a SaaS environment
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to design and launch initiatives
- Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to collaboration and teamwork and ability to deliver via influence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical application of program management methodology including agile at scale
- Demonstrated ability working in an ambiguous environment with ability to think strategically and execute methodically
- Experience handling changing priorities and using good judgment when working in stressful situations
- Proven ability to influence internal/external stakeholders without authority to adopt new processes/initiatives
- High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple competing projects and priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in effective communication of goals and strategies across multiple leadership levels of an organization
- Ability to build and maintain open and collaborative relationships with various levels of leadership
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
