In this role you will:
The Revenue Cycle Specialist - Collectionswill be responsible with multi-tasking ability needed for Ambulatory Surgery Center. Ideal candidate will be responsible for assuring timely collection of accounts receivable, monitoring account activity and providing adequate follow up to ensure maximum reimbursement is received.
Key Responsibilities:
Updates assigned accounts receivable aging by working short paid claims, denied claims and appealing, when necessary for coding/bundling issues and claims that do not pay in accordance to contracted terms.
Monitors aging reports closely to ensure all accounts are closed within a timely manner, and all efforts made to secure monies due.
Identifies and updates insurance data as needed.
Report to Business Office Supervisor/Business Office Director
Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures set forth by the Florida Orthopaedic Institute
All other duties as assigned
About You
Previous medical collections experience of 2-3 years
Solid knowledge of insurance guidelines and appeals processes
BLS certification required within 90 days of employment
