Job Description
A creative who demonstrates a passion for art direction and design. Works closely with the creative team to bring innovative ideas to fruition. Partners with senior creative team members to develop strategic executions through a variety of tactics - both physical and digital. Keeps in mind what is right for the shopper, the brand, and the retailer. Contributes ideas to team brainstorms and elevates the design aesthetic. A craftsman with well-rounded technical skills who is a strong visual storyteller.

  • Creates smart solutions that answers the brief and brings the creative vision to life
  • Stays on top of creative trends, design inspiration, and social media
  • Develops creative deliverables that are consistently sound, of high caliber, and acceptable to the client
  • Solves problems with a "nothing is impossible" attitude
  • Participates in brainstorms and able to provide a creative POV, grounded in the brief
  • May art direct interns and junior creatives
  • Uses internal creative reviews for practice presenting and articulating the "why" behind the design
  • Collaborates with production and digital production to design disruptive and effective physical, social, and digital work
  • Partners with the copywriter in concepting and bringing ideas to life through copy and art that tell a holistic story
  • Assists in building beautiful decks that tell a compelling story about our work, our brands, and our shoppers.
  • Iterates designs and ideas to get to the best possible output
  • An apprentice to senior-level creatives and starts to understand strategy and storytelling

Day-to-day ownership
  • Understands and follows brand style guides
  • Supports an assigned business account (may help other creative teams/businesses and in pitches as capacity allows)
  • Completes revision orders and assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Enters time accurately and on-time each week
  • Works efficiently and handles multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Proactively hones technical skills and program efficiencies
  • Participates in creative team meetings and work check-ins
  • Accountable, ensuring work is properly vetted, approved, and proofed and that files are properly built and delivered on time
  • Has consistent one-on-one meetings with your manager to build a growth plan together
  • Attends kickoffs and status meetings when appropriate and asks questions in order to get what the team needs to move a job forward

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in fine arts or Graphic Design preferred (or very strong, non-spec work and industry experience equivalent to that)
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Proficient in file management, time management, and organization
  • Knowledge of graphic software (i.e., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Microsoft PPT deck-building a plus (we know, we know...but it's an effective tool for storytelling and showing off our work)
  • An apprentice of the craft through typography, color, and design principles
  • Portfolio of work must include examples of digital (mobile, web & social) and print marketing work
  • Maintain a three-day a week in office presence. Our goal for time in the office is to create environments that maintain flexibility while enabling more in-person connection. Compensation Range: $64.5K - $75K. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
