Armed Security

Here at AmeriGuard Security we are looking for Armed and Unarmed Security Officer. This position is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility's security measures. Their duties include reviewing video surveillance equipment to identify odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals and only providing property access to authorized individuals.

Security Guards:
To be successful as a security guard you must be alert and professional. A good security guard is aware of all visitors to the property and ensures that no inappropriate actions take place.
A successful as an Armed Security officer, you should be able to exercise discretion regarding the use of your weapon. Ultimately, the outstanding Armed Security officers will seek to expand their self-defense and weapons training beyond the mandatory level.

• Protecting locations from harassment, physical attack, vandalism, and other forms of abusive or unauthorized treatment.
• Ensuring that your weapon is well always maintained and secure.
• Utilizing your weapon in times of extreme attack, when non-violent options have been exhausted.
• Recording the details of each person who visits the facility, if applicable.
• Completing and submitting incident reports after noteworthy developments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' Experience (Required)
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Prior experience as an Armed Security officer.
• Relevant weapons license and training.
• Clear criminal record.
• Strong commitment to the well-being of others.
• Excellent decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently, particularly when under duress.
• Neat, professional appearance.
• Capacity to work on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work morning, evening, and night shifts.

Armed Positions:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Current BSIS Firearm Permit (armed positions only)
• Driver's License (Required)
• Guard Card (Required)

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Monday to Friday - Night shift - Overnight shift - Overtime - Weekend availability a must

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fresno, CA 93722: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
CPR/First Aid certified (strongly preferred)
Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
