Area Manager Responsibilities
Biggest thing: Make sure orders are getting done. Completing orders is how we make money to operate as a company. Here are some things to keep in mind:
- If a team calls out, either go do their trips or make sure another team can get them done - the dealerships rely on Zapmoto to fulfill their pick up & drop offs.
- Answer questions drivers have. This is an opportunity to exercise problem solving skills. If you have questions, call the office.
- Plan the trips for the next day.
Hiring
- You are responsible for hiring and training drivers in your area.
- You will collaborate with the Zapmoto office on how many new drivers you need for your area and at which dealerships
- Onboard the drivers to where they are ready to do drives. (You will be taught the onboarding process)
Setting up dealerships
You will be responsible for setting up new dealerships when they are ready to begin the service. This means...
- Showing dealership employees how to use the software.
- Training drivers on the pick up & drop off process for the dealerships.
- Establishing basic organization. Example: Where keys will go, capacity and flow of trips per number of teams available for that dealerships.
Maintaining relationships with Service Directors/Managers
It is important to keep dealerships happy with the service. The following points are expected of you to achieve this:
- talk to service directors approximately once a week to check in on how things are going with pick up and delivery.
- If they have problems or concerns with our system or process, make sure to address those quickly.
- Remember: The dealers are our biggest customers. We need to focus on their experience the most, which includes how their customers are treated by our drivers.
