As an Area Director, you will be responsible for ensuring safety and providing leadership & strategic direction for the programs within a specific geographic or business area. Your main responsibilities will include building a positive relationship with both external and internal customers while developing and implementing program strategies, running program budgets, and being responsible for program operations! Additionally, you will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, and support to project staff, service delivery teams and other key resources that are instrumental to the success of the projects within your area. In this role you will have overall financial responsibility, lead cost efficiency initiatives, while ensuring continuous excellence in execution.
The Area Director - AT&T Design & Engineering is responsible for the execution of all project activities related to the creation of Digital Twin (ESDT) and RF Design (RFDS) deliverables to AT&T. This role will also play a key role in developing the process and driving the efficiencies that digitization and automation can bring to network rollout. Previous sales or sales support experience and a passion for business development is preferred but not required.
What you will do
- Ensure safety of all operational activities within Area. Develop a culture focused on safety by establishing and communicating safety policies and procedures, providing safety training to staff and regularly reviewing and improving safety practices in line towards Target Zero.
- Ensure adherence to our ethics and compliances principle by providing guidance and securing proper management and reporting of projects.
- Provide leadership and direction to project staff, service delivery teams and other key resources with your Area of responsibility
- Develop and implement execution strategies that align with MANA Networks organizational goals, objectives, policies, procedures and guidelines
- Be responsible for budgets and resources to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Overall financial responsibility, including implementation of cost efficiency initiatives to optimize execution performance
- Build and be a phenomenal partner with the customer leads, service delivery teams, management and any other key stakeholders
- Collaborate with other Area Directors and organizational leaders to develop and implement cross-functional programs
- Evaluate impacts and risks and communicate project outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
- Drive a standardized governance framework across all projects with focus on adherence and compliance to MANA NTW financial and operational metrics
- Provide line management responsibilities, including performance reviews and improvement plans, mentoring, coaching and training plans for project managers to ensure professional development and growth to maintain an impactful team
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, continuous learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration among project staff and stakeholders
- Act as the single point of contact for customer critical issues, ensuring that all concerns and complaints are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Build strong customer relationships by engaging with customers, responding to their concerns and developing strategies to address any gaps
- Ensure that key strategic goals are met and that projects within the area are aligned with interpersonal goals and objectives.
- Drive adjacent and add-on-sales to progress Ericsson's business goals.
- Ensure alignment and adherence to project management processes and tools, and develop strategies to improve project management effectiveness
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- At least 9 years of experience in project management or a related field, with at least 3 years in line management or relevant leadership roles and L1 assessment and overall project financial responsibility
- Strong leadership and management skills with a consistent track record of effectively leading teams and achieving results
- Experience handling project budgets and resources, including overall financial responsibility and cost efficiency initiatives
- Ability to develop and implement project strategies
- Strong communication and social skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of project evaluation and impact assessment
- Knowledge of standard methodologies in project management and operations
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed
