Job Description
The Architectural Intern will work closely with the Project Architects, Architectural Designers, and Structural Engineers in the production and design for all project phases including conceptual design, schematic design, design development and delivery of construction documents. This is an entry level position, performing the following skills:
Position Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural drawings
- Perform drafting duties at various phases of project design from concept through construction
- Support multi-disciplinary team in developing designs, sketches and documentation drawings
- Utilize the latest BIM modeling software (Revit)
- Research architectural industry codes, standards and rules as necessary
- Assist in proper documentation
- Effectively communicate with clients, engineers and project team
Position Requirements
- Proficient in latest versions of Revit
- Pursuit of a degree in Architecture
- Industrial, cold warehouse and/or food processing facilities experience a plus
- Structural detail capabilities a plus
- Interpersonal skills
- Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment who can work on and contribute to several projects simultaneously
- Demonstrates practical knowledge of building codes is a plus
