Architectural Drafter - Full Time In Office Postion

NYWS design is currently looking for experience steel & woodworking individuals. Job duties to include manufacture and install custom stair parts. Experience in woodworking and Steel were highly recommended. We are looking for experienced individuals only.

Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Drafter to join our dynamic team at NYWS. As an Architectural Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and drafting of high-quality staircases, ensuring precision and accuracy in all architectural drawings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of exceptional stair solutions for residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities:

Drafting and Design:

• Create detailed and accurate architectural drawings, plans, and schematics for various stair projects.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

• Incorporate design principles and industry standards into stair designs to ensure functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal.

CAD Proficiency:

• Utilize CAD software to produce 2D and 3D drawings of stair designs.

• Maintain proficiency in the latest CAD versions and industry-specific drafting tools.

Material and Code Compliance:

• Ensure that all stair designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

• Research and stay updated on the latest materials and construction methods to enhance the quality and efficiency of stair designs.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Work closely with the sales team to understand client requirements and provide accurate estimates for stair projects.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address design revisions and project updates.

Quality Control:

• Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and rectify any errors or inconsistencies.

• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that the final stair installations align with approved architectural drawings.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture, Drafting, or related field.

• Proven experience as an Architectural Drafter, preferably in the field of stairs or similar specialized construction.

• Proficiency in CAD and other relevant design software.

• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.

• Excellent attention to detail and precision in drafting work.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Full-Time Commitment:

• The successful candidate must be available during regular business hours, 5 days , from [ 7 AM ] to [ 4pm ].

In-Office Work:

• This position is based in our BROOKLYN NY 11206 office.

• Remote work arrangements are not available for this role; the candidate is expected to work on-site in NYWS OFFICE IN BROOKLYN NY 11206.
