Job Intro/ Summary:
We are seeking an Intermediate level Architectural Drafter with multi-residential, mixed-use and/or commercial projects experience. Our ideal candidate is an individual who thrives in architectural detailing, coming up with design and technical solutions for diverse range of architectural products on buildings.
You will become the 'architect's architect'; meaning the best minds in the biggest firms (The SOM's, the Gensler's, the Morphosis's etc.) will be looking to you to help solve complex design problems.
You will be typically focusing on one of the best parts of building design: the 'public face', usually the most visual aspects of a building. You will be re-thinking conventional ways in which we routinely detail architectural metal systems and continuously innovating.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years in the architectural or structural engineering drafting and detailing
- Experience with exterior detailing
- Excellent CAD drafting skills
- Experience in sheet metal and fabrication is a big plus
- Excellent communication skills
- College degree a plus but not mandatory; Direct experience in the field equivalence.
- Experience in multi-family, mixed-use and commercial projects as well as a diverse range of building types and uses a plus.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with construction detailing in diverse range of building types.
- AutoCAD proficiency a must; Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch-Up, Revit and Photoshop a plus
- Must have willingness to learn Solid Works program
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong sense of commitment and responsibility for final product
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills
- A very fast learner and have the ability to multi-task well
- Proficient in Microsoft, Word and Excel
- Autonomous, proactive and professional attitude
On-site employees are preferred in downtown San Rafael.Remote candidates may also be considered, especially in So. California, Texas, Oregon, Colorado, or Florida. For remote hires, BŌK Modern will provide paid onsite training, and the employee can work remotely after that, with monthly team meetings on-site.
