Autocad Drafter For A Structural And Architectural Steel Company

Currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter for aStructural and Architectural Steel Company

Overview

Looking for a local candidate in Orange County area that has Structural and Ornamental Drafting experience. Needs to have strong attention to detail and does high-quality clean work and be highly organized.

Responsibilities

· Prepare drawings using computer aided design CAD, from Design drawings, sketches or marked up prints.

· Interpret Contractors and Managers sketched red marks, read specifications and other instructions as applicable.

· Document work performed, typically for internal distribution or record keeping.

· Recognize discrepancies or errors and seek out alternative solutions for obstacles encountered.

· Consistently meet work deadlines while producing high quality work results.

· Creating bill of materials, parts list, and other manufacturing documentation if needed.

· Demonstrated high attention to detail.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

· Associate degree or Technical School degree in drafting or equivalent experience.

· Basic knowledge of sheet metal and steel design and manufacturing preferred.

· Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Be able to effectively communicate with project managers and production team members.

· Capacity to think critically, innovate and solve challenging problems when needed.

Software knowledge Required.

AutoCAD 2018 or Newer, Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat

Basic Knowledge of

Office works; Word, Excel, Outlook

Software knowledge

SolidWorks preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: DOE (Provide Salary history with resume)

Experience:

• Drafting: 5 years (Preferred)
• AutoCAD: 3 years (Preferred)
• Any additional Manufacturing experienced is appreciated.
