Job Description
This position works onsite in Claysburg, PA Monday - Friday.
OVERVIEW
Supervise, plan, and execute building A&E projects on time at a high level across design programs. Responsible for managing an architectural team along with consultants working on assigned projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
1. Responsible for overseeing successful project completion through construction, including cross-discipline project efforts with M/E/P, structural, civil, and architectural consultants.
2. Complete reviews of building plans for thoroughness, consistency, errors/omissions, and design standards. Coordinate corrections and updates with the design team.
3. Define measurable, individual performance goals, monitor and communicate via regular feedback and annual performance reviews.
4. Issue RFP’s to potential consultants, negotiate bids, and execute contracts and invoices.
5. Ensure building design and due diligence is complete prior to project kickoff. Support Retail Planning & Design team for preliminary ideation and schematic planning.
6. Manage Addendums, RFI’s, and Field Orders. This includes coordinating and scheduling with Construction and Installation during bidding and construction phases.
7. Actively balance schedules and deliverables while maintaining design objectives, scope and project goals.
8. Coordinate with internal personnel and outside consultants as required to successfully complete store drawings to meet branding, marketing/sales changes, AHJ requirements, and construction techniques.
9. Prepare and coordinate conceptual and design development building concept plans to be used by Real Estate, Engineering and Permitting departments for obtaining zoning, land development permits, and approvals.
10. Understand our Brand design standards including architecture and site standards, signage design, and fuel design.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Building Engineering required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Architecture and/or Engineering setting as a Job Captain, Project Lead, or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience required
- Previous experience maintaining accurate building plans & architectural drawings required
- Previous experience with building codes, materials, and systems in commercial construction required
- Licensed Architect preferred.
- Hand tools (measuring devices, wrench, level, etc.)
