Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Job Details: The Accounts Receivable Specialist secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts and resolving discrepancies. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for providing accounting assistance and guidance for their assigned site. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that the needs of the sites are being met and work to appropriate his/her time accordingly in coordination with site management. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Apply customer payments and open credits.
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies.
  • Make adjustments to accounts as needed.
  • Assist and/or Complete special projects as assigned by Accounting Supervisor.
  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
  • Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to process work with accuracy.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Assists in monthly closings.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
  • Performs filing and copying.
  • Post Accounts Receivable payments for all USCS regions (except California).
  • Pulls and/or Sends records for USCS audits.
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable support for USCS/Super User.
  • Posts revenues by verifying and entering transactions from lock box and local deposits.
  • Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

What We Are Looking For:
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience
  • 2+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge and experience in accounting; specifically accounts receivable.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting.

  • Verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building.
  • Participate in Safety and Educational Training.
