Job Description
SUMMARY
The AR Cash Application Specialist is responsible for cash receipts and collections activities for multiple customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities of this function include but are not limited to:
· Performing Cash Application for assigned customer accounts
· Depositing physical checks via desktop scanning process
· Downloading daily bank deposits and creating payments for application
· Write off of agreed discounts and allowances as presented on the customer card
· Creating and properly coding chargebacks as received
· Working with Big Box Customers (i.e. Walmart, Lowes, Amazon) and utilizing vendor portals to collect remittance data
· Maintaining customer information in the ERP system
· Preparing analysis and reports as requested
· Other activities and special projects as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Hybrid Three (3) days in office and two (2) days remote
· May require occasional travel. May require working over 40 hours a week

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Associate’ degree in accounting or related experience equivalent
· 1-3 year of related experience
· Experience in handling major retail accounts such as Wal-Mart, Amazon, and Home Depot a plus
· Understanding of compliance, EDI, supply chain, import orders / invoices
· Strong technology skills with experience with Excel and ERP systems
· Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Knowledge of ERP systems specifically Navision or Red Horse (not required)
