Apprentice Sign Installer

Signs Plus – Bellingham’s leading sign designer, fabricator and installer since 1992 is growing and expanding its installation apprentice team.

Attention all Electrically Inclined Craft People with basic construction experience. We are looking for you! Don’t worry if you have never installed signs before. We will train the right candidates. Just bring your existing skill set, passion and desire to learn and we will take it from there.

Signs Plus apprentices install custom, high fit and finish, electrical signage and lighting features. Our work is highly custom so no two days are ever the same. Installers work with our technical staff and interpret shop drawings to help realize the client’s vision. You will be challenged with helping to develop installation strategies, training for crane and boom truck operation, installing alongside our Journeyman and helping to maintaining our excellent safety record.

We are looking for apprentice level candidates, but all levels of experience are welcome to apply.

Be flexible to rapidly changing schedules and geography as an inherent part of the landscape.

Easily handle labor intensive work on occasion.

Join the electrical apprentice program.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be capable of physically demanding work occasionally including lifting 50lbs, climbing ladders, digging footings, etc.

Respect for basic rigging & loading techniques.

Acceptable driving record.

Understanding of basic construction practices.

Candidates will be required to start their apprenticeship for the WA State 04 Electrical license.

Willingness to learn or possess a basic understanding of construction site rules & regulations.

Aptitude and desire to become crane certified.

Occasional out of town work Monday - Friday, home on weekends.

These are full time positions that offer medical benefits along with paid time off, 401K, out of town bonus & Per Diem, plus overtime pay.
