Position Summary
Position Summary
Responsible for customer application support, create product solutions, assist in part design, and customer product development. Provides sales, marketing and customers with design direction in support of the customers technical needs. Daily technical assistance to customers through phone, email, and web chat.
Scope/Supervision and Interaction
Position responsible for driving the strategic growth segments of the Division through innovative product application development and exploring adjacent market opportunities. Must effectively interface with all Division departments and Division staff. Works with minimal daily supervision. Keeps team leaders and staff informed of project status.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
1. Large customer management including communication, ability to create technical reports and engineering support.
2. Support field sales, distributors and sales representatives as required to maintain Division's premier customer service position.
3. Assist territory and regional manager in adapting current and new products to customer need and satisfaction.
4. Provide technical expertise on product to help close on final sale - New Business Awards (NBA's).
5. Assist design and manufacturing in the development of new and/or revised product according to customer requirements.
6. Provide technical training of customers and distributors in division products.
7. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace.
8. Keeps management aware of changes, which would affect the distribution of Parker products.
9. Support development of customer communication programs and special marketing efforts.
10. Support strategic sales plans for existing and adjacent markets for existing and new innovative products.
11. Investigate market needs for innovative products and communicate them to R&D and Marketing for new product development.
12. Must maintain high degree of customer service, throughput, and quality and participate in division lean activities.
13. Participate in and develop training materials for the Division.
14. Actively work hands-on in the Applications Lab fabricating prototypes and working on Dispensing Equipment.
15. Become dispensing and material expert in division to support Form-in-Place (FIP) gasketing and Thermal Interface Materials (TIM).
16. All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
4 Year BS Engineering or Technical degree. Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.
2- 4+ years Manufacturing Engineering experience is required
Experience in dispensing of materials a plus.
PC literate (MS Office preferred).
Excellent mechanical comprehensions with the ability to understand, describe or discuss problems of a technical nature.
Knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems (CAD) a plus.
Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.
