Applications Engineer

MOGAS is seeking a highly technical Valve Application Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing the best severe service, application-specific products and world-renowned services. As a Valve Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the most suitable valve solutions to meet their specific requirements. You will work closely with our sales team to provide technical expertise to timely turnaround quotations including supplemental specification reviews, product and material selection plus torque and MAST data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Sales and/or customers to understand their specific valve application requirements.
• Recommend and specify appropriate valve products and configurations to meet customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and support to sales teams during customer interactions.
• Develop technical documentation, including valve sizing and selection guides.
• Conduct valve selection and sizing calculations.
• Assist in creating and delivering technical presentations and training sessions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to valve applications.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging valve technologies.
• Produce or guide in the production of GA drawings for quotations and orders.
• Limited travel (<25%, < 1 week/month on average)
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in valve applications, sizing, and selection.
• Strong technical knowledge of different types of industrial valves and their applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with valve selection software and tools.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
