Job Responsibilities
PLEASE BE ADVISED, THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION
The purpose of this job is to support SCDPS with web and application needs.
Assists with the planning, design, build, test, deploy and maintenance of web sites/services and applications.
Serves alongside App Manager as SCDPS liaison on application projects with third-party implementation teams.
Utilize Information Technology's support ticket tracking system to log all work items, receive work items and document helpful information on work items.
Create and maintain system documentation.
Assists in training SCDPS staff on web and applications being implemented.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Minimum Requirements - A high school diploma and work experience in computer programming. An associate's degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
Additional RequirementsBasic application-level knowledge of capabilities, programming techniques, and intricacies of information systems.
Basic knowledge of computer languages. Basic application-level scripting ability to write and revise computer programs. Basic application-level scripting ability to understand and carry out technical instructions and requests. Basic application-level scripting ability to analyze and reduce to logical order complex technical data.
Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel. Ability to plan, direct, instruct, and review the work of technical personnel on a small scale.
Additional Comments
Employee will be under direct supervision of the supervisor/team manager. Employee will receive all work from supervisor and may be asked to receive code, programming, web and application development work requests via IT Help Desk ticketing system which will be assigned by the supervisor. Employee will assist Applications Manager, Business Analyst II and GIS Manager as assigned.
