The Applications Administrator, under the general guidance of the Assistant Director and/or Systems Analyst, provides technical and functional support to City employees in the analysis, design, installation and implementation of Department and Enterprise Business Systems. Diagnoses application anomalies and implements recommended fixes. Responsible for overall management, control and direction of assigned IT projects and applications.
The Applications Administrator also functions as a Business Analyst. Consulting with City personnel and vendors to assess business problems and process improvement opportunities, defines and identifies specific needs, researches options and implications, develops and implements solutions. Manages the migration and upgrades for assigned software applications and databases. Includes development of custom queries and reports to assist in the City's decision-support activities. Manages vendor relationships, vendor contracts and maintenance budgets for all support applications.
Who We Are:
Lee's Summit Applications staff is a highly technical team and is part of Information Technology Services (ITS). Our most immediate need will be to join our department applications team and support our police department with their CAD, Records Management, Mobile Ticketing, Jail Management, Crash and Accident Reporting, Animal Control application and several others. Tasks will include working alongside Police technical staff to troubleshoot issues and review possible solutions and perform and test various application upgrades. Five years IT experience with the development, production or utilization of information technology and off the shelf business systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Management Information Technology, or closely related field
Preferred experience supporting ERP systems, timekeeping, budgeting, enterprise content management system (Laserfiche) and various other applications used by local government
Proficient knowledge in business process analysis, IT project management
Experience with relational databases, data conversion and reporting writing required
