Working in Application Support means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Job responsibilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Advanced experience working with two or more from the following: web application development, database, large scale software development GKP (Kubernetes)
- Provide operational leadership and support to SAS end user teams, in addition to business applications, onboarding, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
- Oversee business-critical tasks including change management, incident management, user management, security access and controls, work order management, application and business data recovery, and disaster recovery
- Administer SAS 9.4 and perform SAS installations, upgrades and applying hotfixes
- Assist with SAS connectivity to multiple data environments (e.g. Teradata, Oracle, SQL, Hadoop, etc.)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Basic knowledge of application development
- Administrative or development experience with Kubernetes and AWS
- Administer SAS 9.4 and/or Viya, Enterprise Miner, SAS Studio
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
- Interest in learning additional programming languages and emerging technologies
- Working knowledge in an environment with clustered metadata servers, in complex architecture
- Understanding of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Experience with UNIX scripting commands such as Java, Bash, KSH or Perl
- Experience within AIX infrastructure with GPFS, S3 and NAS storage
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Knowledge of SAS Visual Analytics within a distributed environment
- Familiarity with control-M and AutoSys schedulers
