Function: Application Support Agent (RASFF/AAC)
Workplace: Brussels
Introduction / Context
You will be part of the external RASFF/AAC team at the Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE). Within DG SANTE's portfolio, you will be responsible for tasks of following systems:
- iRASFF: notifications falling within the scope of RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed), non-compliances and food fraud;
- AAC AA (Administrative Assistance & Cooperation System for Administrative Assistance);
- AAC FF (Administrative Assistance & Cooperation System for Food Fraud).
- Administrative Support: You will support the Commission's officials in their daily work by helping them extract and treat data from the systems. You will help the users of the systems with questions or issues they might have and you will be required to communicate/attend meetings with officials from other DGs to support their work when the systems are used.
- Data Analysis: You will work within the RASFF Team and the Food Fraud Team, helping with the analysis of cases/notifications, you will create reports, do traceability exercises along the supply/food chain and present the findings of your work;
- Documentation: You will have to maintain existing documentation and create new one, and to attend coordination meetings;
- Trainings: You will provide training and assistance of the application to the Member States and European Commission's officials. Travelling might be required.

- Languages: English (must). French (desirable). Other EU language is a plus;
- Strong data extraction and analysis skills: experience with Excel advanced functionalities, analytical and data visualization tools; Knowledge of QlikSense is a plus.
- Strong proficiency working with web browsers, web based tools and social media tools;
- Minimum years of work experience: 2 including traineeships.
- Knowledge of EU Institutions.
- Proven ability to analyse, interpret, and communicate fraud threats and trends effectively is a plus;
- Legal studies with knowledge of General Data Protection Regulation or scientific background is a plus.
- EU Citizenship.
- Resident or available to relocate to Belgium.
