Grow your career as a Travel Agent Support, Rewards and Recognition Specialist within ALG Vacations, one of our 14 industry-leading brands. In this role you will provide direct support to the Manager and Lead of the Travel Agent Support, Rewards & Recognition team with functions across both the Sales Support and Rewards & Recognition departments. The Specialist directly supports our Business Development Managers (BDMs) to ensure the organization's revenue growth objectives are met. This role will be the primary point of contact for BDMs to initiate and complete tasks associated with the management of their territories and travel agency accounts. This individual will be responsible for following established processes to ensure efficiency and consistency in our execution. The Travel Agent Support, Rewards & Recognition Specialist will work with many departments in the organization to achieve the team's objectives.
A successful Travel Agent Support, Rewards and Recognition Specialist will:

  • Respond to inquiries from travel agency distributors and direct service issues to the appropriate department.
  • Be proficient in navigating our travel agency booking technology, VAX VacationAccess
  • Escalate service issues as needed for timely resolution with strong follow-up communication.
  • Be proficient in using Business Intelligence sales reporting tools.
  • Be successful at Salesforce database management for Travel Agent Support
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication with key accounts; be responsive to agent needs and issue resolution with timely follow-up.
  • Manage inbound e-mails related to the Agent Rewards Discount Agent Vacations, and WAVES loyalty program.
  • Build and apply promo codes, process air and hotel redemptions, and assist with password reset and point reconciliation.
  • Assist leadership with verifying the accuracy of all bonus point offers loaded.
  • Document activities, manage service cases, and run reports in Salesforce.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external team members, partners, and suppliers.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager.
  • Assist Manager with Elite program benefits fulfillment and tracking.
  • Assist Manager with other projects as assigned.
  • Update monthly scorecard files with travel agency contact information.
  • Follow established processes to request promo codes, prize letters, commission agreements, cancel fee agreements, affiliate websites, CRM integrations, and Agent Rewards travel.

Requirements
  • High school Diploma
  • Travel industry experience preferred, but not required
  • Salesforce experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong MS experience including but not limited to outlook, word and excel
  • Highly flexible
