POSITION SUMMARY:

The Application Architect is responsible for leading the design and development of integration solutions related to information technology operations, business processes, security, and data integrity within the Matco Tools technology portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Develops and maintains the organization's architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

+ Is a thought leader and works closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical design and architecture specifications.

+ Translate complex technical concepts to business partners to ensure understanding and alignment.

+ Guide and mentor engineers on solid architecture, good design, clean code, and clear integrations across our business applications ensuring all features created by the team are designed well, are maintainable, performant, scalable, secure, and bug-free, and meet the needs of the stakeholders.

+ Design integrations to connect multiple enterprise systems and applications in a wide variety of areas such as payment processing, billing, marketing automation, CRM, identity, analytics, and e-commerce

+ Assist with migrating legacy applications to modern architectures

+ Triage production issues: debugging/tracking and resolving them by analyzing the source of the problem.

+ Identify areas of improvement in our application ecosystem and patterns of repeated problems proposing solutions that can be applied globally.

Required:

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related IT discipline or professional work experience

+ Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills

+ Experience in architecting, designing and implementing mid-size to large scale business applications

+ Experience in designing and developing applications on different cloud platforms (SaaS/PaaS/IaaS)

+ Must have 15+ years of IT experience with Min 5+ years working as an Architect.

+ Has knowledge of ERP systems, supply chain systems, their architecture, eco system and architectures.

+ Experience building software prototypes and conduct experiments to evaluate alternative architectures.

+ Experience evaluating existing systems and infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.

+ Proven experience as an Application Architect, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex applications

+ Experience in performance tuning, testing and diagnosis of cloud integrations

+ Experience with deployment and release management processes

+ Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and interface effectively with individuals at various levels

+ Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively contribute to a team environment

+ Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills

+ Experience within a fast-paced, software application delivery, and product launch environment

+ Technical expertise with ERP systems, Supply Chain Systems, Planning Systems, Web, and B2B applications

+ Design and implement integrated systems and software solutions that meet business needs and align with industry best practices.

+ Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across different projects and technology platforms.

+ Occasional Travel of up to 15-20%

Preferred Experience:

+ Experience with Oracle Financial Services Lending and Leasing (OFSLL) or related Oracle cloud platforms a nice to have

The base compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000 per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon a number of factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
