Description

NVI, LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team for our Nondestructive Inspection division located in Odessa, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of NDT experience and a strong understanding of inspection techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards, in addition to API Certifications for Process Piping, Pressure Vessels, and Aboveground Storage Tanks. This candidate will be required to live in the Odessa, TX region. In addition to the responsibilities mentioned below, this role will also involve managing Mechanical Integrity crews and providing technical expertise to support the efforts in building a Mechanical Integrity Services Division in the Permian Basin.

 

  • API-570/510/653 Certifications, all three preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Nondestructive Testing (NDT).
  • Certification in relevant NDT methods
  • Strong knowledge of NDT techniques such as radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant, Digital Radiography (DR), and Computer Radiography (CR)
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and inspection tools.
  • Safety-focused mindset with a strong commitment to safety protocols and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Experience in managing Mechanical Integrity crews.
  • Technical expertise in Mechanical Integrity services.
  • Experience in supporting sales efforts with technical knowledge

 

This individual will also be responsible for assisting the current divisional management with the following tasks:

 

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to NDT technicians and assistants, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Oversee and manage NDT projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control to ensure timely and accurate inspections.
  • Efficiently assign NDT crews to job sites, ensuring the right personnel, equipment, and resources are dispatched as needed to meet project requirements.
  • Supervise and lead Mechanical Integrity crews, ensuring they are properly trained, equipped, and following safety and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in Mechanical Integrity services offered by the company to support sales efforts, including assisting the sales team with proposals, client meetings, and technical consultations.
  • Ensure the implementation of quality assurance programs and procedures to maintain high inspection standards and compliance with industry codes and regulations.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing client needs, providing technical expertise, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Utilize your extensive NDT knowledge to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support to team members, and stay updated on the latest NDT technologies and techniques.
  • Enforce safety protocols, review safety documentation, and ensure that the workplace remains in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Review daily reports from crews and report findings to management
  • Track inventory and make supply orders when necessary.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost control for Odessa division to optimize resource allocation.

 

 

Qualifications
