SummaryThe AOD Therapist workscollaboratively in the Counseling Center and is a member of themulti-disciplinary AIRS team (Assessment, Intervention, and Recovery Services)within Campus Health. The clinician will be expected to provide screenings,assessments, individual short term- therapy, group therapy, psychoeducationalgroups, referrals, and assist in determining the appropriate level of care fortreatment services.
A strong background and experienceworking in Addiction Treatment and with individuals who meet the criteria for asubstance use disorder is needed. An ideal candidate that possesses addictionscredential (LAC, CAC, or equivalent) is desired. A candidate that isknowledgeable of current trending issues on college campus’ is also preferred.

Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in social work,psychology, or counseling.
- License eligible as addictionsprofessional, social worker, psychologist, or counselor in Louisiana, if notalready licensed in that state. Must be licensed in LA within 6 months ofinitial start date, if not already licensed.
- LCSW, LAC, LPC, PhD or PsyD inpsychology
- Prior experience providing services ina university counseling center
- Previous experience delivering groupinterventions in a university counseling center
- Specialized training in Substance UseDisorder treatment and policy
- Experience in working with sexualviolence policy and treatment
- 3 years of experience in Substance UseDisorder treatment
