Form of workApplications are being accepted for a full-time Animal Care Supervisor in the Central Zoo and Indiana Family Farm. This section of the zoo features Capuchin and saki monkeys, red pandas, Canada lynx, sloth, ambassador animals, Aldabra tortoises, kunekune pigs, Flemish giant rabbits, miniature donkeys, sheep, goats, and bird species.
Responsibilities: The Animal Care Supervisor is a working leadership position that provides direct supervision of employees and coordination of daily operations in a specified animal area and assists with other zoo operations as required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field and three years of experience in a zoological setting are required. Operant conditioning experience is preferred. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, possess strong attention to detail, and be team orientated.
Benefits: This is a full-time position requiring availability for a 40-hour work week year-round.
