Working under general supervision, the Analytics Platform Administrator will administer and maintain reporting and Analytics Platforms to ensure their availability, performance, integrity, and security according to established Service Level Targets (SLT). This role will serve as the primary liaison with the Managed Service Providers (MSP), infrastructure, application development, and security teams, and is responsible for capacity, growth, and resource planning, and disaster recovery planning and testing of the reporting and Analytics Platforms and environments.

- Maintenance and support of Reporting and Analytics Platforms which includes being responsible for:
- Software deployment, configuration, and upgrades
- Stability, performance monitoring, remediation, and improvements
- Service as the primary liaison with the MSP, infrastructure, application development, and security teams
- Providing off-hour support and participate in on-call rotation
- Asset and data backup and restore processes, procedures, and associated schedules
- Maintenance of all documentation and specifications according to company guidelines
- Establishing and maintaining policies and procedures relating to the reporting, analytics, and data management platform security and account access
- Capacity, growth, and resource planning
- Disaster recovery planning and testing
- Support for business and data delivery teams:
- Consult and provide support for Enterprise Reporting and Analytics Teams
- Consult and provide support to Enterprise Data Warehouse Team (BI Developers, ETL Developers, Data Analysts)
- Enhance team documentation to aid in training and improving off-hour support
- Support and consult other IT teams on Analytics Platform management matters and ensures problem solving resolutions are documented and published
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement
- 6+ years of administration, maintenance, monitoring, and performance tuning of the data management, analytics, reporting, and visualization platforms
- 3+ years of experience in a managed service environment
- Experience with administration of the reporting and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Business Objects, Cognos)
- Experience with advanced analytics environments (SAS Enterprise, Databricks)
- Experience with managed service cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience working in Windows Service and UNIX environments
- Exposure to the cloud based MPP datastores (Snowflake, Azure, Synapse)
- Exposure to on-prem data management systems (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Netezza)
- Exposure to the enterprise data integration processing platforms (Informatica PowerCenter, IBM InfoSphere, Talend, Pentaho)
- Experience with data governance and data quality management platform administration (Collibra, IBM InfoSphere, Informatica Axon) is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of high-availability and disaster recovery concepts related to 24/7 platform operations
- Advanced knowledge of Windows and Unix scripting (Batch, VBScript, PowerShell, Shell)
- Ability to work as part of a team in an open environment that facilitates information exchange
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete timely
- Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, using business and technical concepts with a varied user community
- Created strong relationships and provide positive experiences for internal partners
This position can work 100% remotely or from our office in Madison, WI in a hybrid or full-time on-site arrangement, if preferred. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
