About the Role:
The Analytics Engineering Intern will play a supportive role in optimizing data within our databases for meaningful analysis, contributing to the bridge between raw data and insightful utilization. This position involves assisting with ETL processes, learning about data modeling, and helping ensure data integrity and quality. With guidance in SQL and programming, you will support making data accessible and ready for analysis. This internship is a unique opportunity to contribute to an environment that values data-driven decisions and to gain practical experience in the field of Analytics Engineering.

• Support the implementation of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to prepare data for analysis
• Gain hands-on experience in data modeling, understanding how to structure data effectively for analytical use.
• Assist in conducting data quality checks, ensuring accuracy and reliability of the data within the database.
• Practice and enhance SQL skills, and potentially other scripting languages, for data manipulation and analysis.
• Work collaboratively on data pipeline projects, learning how to manage and automate data flow.
• Help in establishing and maintaining data governance standards and best practices within the organization.
• Assist in creating technical documentation and reports, translating complex data processes into understandable content.
• Participate in problem-solving activities, using data to address and resolve business challenges under supervision.

Who we would like to meet:

• Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited college/university
• Working SQL programming skills
• Knowledge of GitHub
• Knowledge of languages like Python, Ruby, Java, or similar language
• Knowledge which demonstrates an understanding of programing techniques
• Interest in software engineering, data management, and data analytics
• Interest in building concise data applications and pipelines on large data sources
• Interest in with cloud database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
• Conceptual understanding of ETL tool, workflows, and concepts. (e.g., dbt, data pipelines, data structures)
