Major Responsibilities
- Manages all administrative aspects for the Essendant’s Supplier Compliance Program including supplier scorecard activity.
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Analyzes/resolves disputed packaging, labeling, and shipping requirements charge backs by facility/supplier, assess non-related communications received and forward to appropriate FSC department for research/resolution.
- Creates monthly billing and quarterly debit reversal files for supplier compliance charge backs.
- Analyze past results, identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Participates in supplier calls to identify areas of improvement and work to resolution.
- Supports process and systems changes that streamline the Supplier Performance Management processes. Analyzing key performance metrics to determine root cause performance issues and drive change.
- Work in partnership with product category leads to integrate performance data into category strategies for relevant categories and suppliers. Drive supplier adoption of key tools and technology around EDI.
- Work cross functionally with other departments within Essendant, e.g., Merchandising, IT, Inventory, and Operations.
- Develop and actively maintain process workflows and documentation.
- Maintain a suite of reports that cover all aspects of supplier performance – continue to improve and add content.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel Dashboards
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Expert abilities in Microsoft Office Suite software including MS Excel and PowerPoint, and Word.
- Expert knowledge of business intelligence tools and languages required, preferably SQL and Power BI
- Intermediate understanding of all elements of the supply chain: procurement, inventory control, receiving, fulfillment, transportation and returns.
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster collaboration within team, with business partners, and with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion to learn and grow.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related quantitative discipline preferred
- Minimum of three years’ progressive experience, preferably in a large corporate environment. Five years’ experience preferred.
- Experience presenting to groups and senior management.
- CPM, CPIM, or CSCP certification a plus.
