Job Summary
The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and allocating labor cost, including salary, fringe benefits, and any other labor cost paid by the legal entity. He/She will work with Payroll and ensures that they have all necessary data to run the labor cost process, fringe process, and make any adjustments to labor cost transactions, including documenting the audit queries. This job is based in Baltimore, MD.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
- Manages the labor allocation and fringe benefits calculation for all employees in USCCB legal entity.
- Leads the reconciliation process for labor cost activities submitted late or failed the validation process.
- Collaborates with Payroll to merge compensation data with output from Oracle Time & Labor in order to properly allocate labor cost to the appropriate Donor or Department.
- Analyzes the timesheet reports for any errors or abnormal situations, supports staff in correcting any identified errors prior to running the labor cost allocation process.
- Analyzes and clears any inefficiencies, including missing time recorded in to the different default payroll projects.
- Analyzes the salary/fringe clearing account and ensures that it is balanced prior to closing the month.
- Ensures that fringe benefits process is allocated to the appropriate project.
- Perform the quarterly true-up for fringe benefits on a quarterly basis.
- Prepares and provides the monthly effort reporting of international staff to the CPs.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders in the configuration, testing, and training on any changes or updates in the system.
- Assists and makes recommendations in identifying testing plans during roll-out of new enhancements to existing labor cost functionality, including test scripts and test plans, and ensures configuration and data flow are in line with functional specifications.
- Works with CRS' external implementation partners to perform specific configuration- and testing-related tasks within the project plan, and to ensure quality and timely delivery against project plan milestones.
- Develops creative manuals and documents appropriate workarounds and non-system related functions not supported by the system.
- Participates in testing cycles by performing configurations, executing conversions, conducting, and leading testers through the testing plan and conducting break/fix.
- Collaborate as needed with Human Resources (HR) on topics that affect Oracle labor allocations such as policy updates, reporting, etc.
- Work with HR to ensure all staff understand and adhere to CRS effort reporting and timekeeping policies.
- Troubleshoots and resolves systems and/or configuration issues.
- Collaborates and assists with configurations changes, data changes, and ensures support with change management absorption. Assists in documenting lessons learned.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
