Analyst (New York, New York)
Collect, measure, and interpret data using spatial software to develop original cartographic products that support engineering design initiatives;
Conduct data collection, management, data visualizations, cartography, spatial analysis, automation, and scripting of spatial tasks and web development using ArcGIS and FME;
Lead and deliver technical Geographic Information Systems ("GIS") work related to environmental, planning, and infrastructure aspects of local, national, and international projects;
Work on GIS projects of various types and scales, regularly cross-collaborating with other multi-disciplinary Arup teams;
Conduct data management, data visualizations, cartography, spatial analysis, automation and scripting of spatial tasks, web development, and other GIS-linked technical tasks;
Prepare wayfinding maps, cartographic and infographic products for engineering and planning initiatives using ArcGIS and Adobe Suites;
Operate on-site data collection equipment such as panoramic photo cameras, Light-Imaging Detection and Ranging ("LIDAR") scanners, and mobile app-based collection tools;
Write technical memos and reports, give presentations, and perform client engagement, with appropriate support from the team;
Convert and automate data formats related to cartographic and spatial data, including converting data from computer aided design ("CAD") format to GIS to ensure that engineering design professionals can utilize geographic information collected;
Deliver dynamic, innovative solutions to internal and external clients, including dashboards, StoryMaps, interactive webmaps, and applications.
Requires Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience.
Salary Range: $88,800 to $115,000/year.
