POSITION SUMMARY:
This individual will have a direct impact on the success of the organization by achieving the acquisition, disposition and leasing goals of the company and its assets. The Analyst, Acquisitions & Asset Management, will report to the Managing Director, Acquisitions, work closely with the CEO and the entire Asset Management & Acquisitions Team, to evaluate and underwrite new investment opportunities, support strategic oversight of leasing, operations, and disposition efforts for industrial properties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in potential acquisition evaluations, due diligence processes and closing of new industrial investments.
- Provide input and direction on the portfolio investment strategies including target markets and opportunities for investment.
- Be a contributing member of all deal transactions including financing, legal, brokers (debt, equity, and property), due diligence, 3rd party consultants, documentation, and accounting.
- Prepare financial packages for internal approvals, lenders, and equity partners.
- Responsible for building and modifying financial models in Argus Enterprise and Excel to support new acquisitions, existing portfolio valuation projects, leasing, and special projects.
- Working side-by-side with Asset Management in establishing the business plan for acquired properties.
- Provide strategic input and track the performance of the assets through the hold period, including property sales and assisting Asset Management in dispositions.
- Develop and maintain a high profile in the brokerage communities and the real estate industry at large to generate new business and represent the firm and its clients.
- Assist with monthly and quarterly investor reporting and annual valuation assessments.
- Prepare closing statements and perform distribution waterfall calculations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strategic thinking with proactive problem-solving skills
- High-level of initiative, strong work ethic, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Solid background in financial analysis and underwriting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Argus Enterprise
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate or related degree, preferred
- 1-5 years of experience
- Commercial Real Estate Investment and/or Underwriting Experience (a plus)
- Argus Enterprise Certification (a plus)
