ASL Freelance Interpreter Job Description:

Context Global seeks motivated ASL interpreters to work as flex-time Freelance Interpreters.

Responsibilities:

ASL Interpreting:

• Provide effective communication facilitation between multiple parties, working to and from ASL and English
  

• Understand cultural and linguistic differences between communities and respond accordingly

Expectations:

• Submit time sheets, invoices, and paperwork on time and as required
  

• Superior interpersonal skills

• 
  Adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct
  

Requirements:

• 
  Fluency in American Sign Language and English

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or lower degree with experience

• 
  Strong involvement in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community

• 
  Self-motivated and well organized
