Overview
Shimmick is seeking a highly talented Senior Manager based out of XXXXXXXX, This position requires availability to work day or night shift. This challenging position will provide an excellent growth opportunity while improving the infrastructure of the city.

National Division
Shimmick's National Division operates throughout the central and eastern United States and focuses on water resources including locks, dams, levees and flood control, many along the nation's coasts and inland waterways. Comprised of legacy companies Morrison Knudsen, Washington Group International, and others, Shimmick's National Division has decades-long history of delivering projects for repeat clients like New Jersey Transit, where Shimmick has been operating and maintaining the Hudson-Bergen Rail Line for more than 20 years.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Oversees the management of the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that Shimmick quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.
  • Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
  • Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • May have budget responsibilities.
  • Manages the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results.
  • In some instances, may be responsible for functional area and may not have direct reports.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in construction work sequencing, productivity, preparation, and maintenance of detailed construction schedules.
  • Prior USACE experience
  • Prior MEP (Electrical and Mechanical specifically), close out and/or commisionning, concrete, or coating experience
  • This position requires availability to work day or night shift

Additional Information:
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $115,000.00 - 140,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical - including a NO-COST option, dental, and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA. The Company also provides employer paid STD, LTD, basic life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Additional voluntary benefit offerings include pet insurance, hospital indemnity, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection.
These benefits are available to all employees working more than 20 hours per week. Employees working less than 20 hours per week are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage as well as EAP services.
