RESPONSIBILITIES
The position involves clinical and administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to those described below.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Collect/record patient history
• Perform and record vital signs
• Perform spirometry
• Perform allergy testing
• Assist with food/drug allergy challenges
• Administer injections
• Clean and restock supplies and equipment

Administrative Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits coverage
• Schedule appointments, Answer telephones and triage messages
• Patient check-in and check-out procedures

Service Responsibilities

• Create a customer-friendly environment
• Educate patients, and occasionally members of the community

Qualifications

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Education: High school graduation or GED

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

OR

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program or Bachelor’s degree AND work experience as Medical Assistant
• Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to complete training on the job and achieve satisfactory performance within the first 90 days

** Having your CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is a plus. Allergy experience is a plus. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) is a plus.**

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
