The Team Member will be responsible for performing a variety of duties within the food establishment which may include completing customer transactions, cleaning the food or stock areas, assisting in the kitchen area, and maintaining inventory.
Essential Functions:
· Greets customers in a courteous and friendly manner and takes orders; provides information about menus; looks for opportunity to up-sell products.
· Operates cash register and receives payment from customers in credit card or cash, accurately counts and provides change to customers as required, and follows customer service guidelines and cash handling policies and procedures.
· Inputs orders into the register at the point-of-sale in timely manner to ensure total guest satisfaction and creates a receipt for each guest.
· Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying the accuracy of transactions and operating equipment with peripheral electronic data processing.
· Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
· Makes and/or presents drinks using standard ingredient(s)/recipes practicing prudent portion control.
· Assists with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed, including baking.
· Maintains accountability for all food and beverages being served.
· Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the location daily. This includes requisitioning, stocking, and rotating all products as needed.
· Receives inventory, moves and lifts food and beverage products and supplies; maintains a solid knowledge of product and service availability.
· Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking product is maintained at required temperatures.
· Follows all opening, closing and standard operating procedures.
· Do detailed daily inventory as per opening/closing.
· Responds to guest complaints in a positive and tactful manner, negotiates a compromise, and implements solutions.
· Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment.
· Stores and locks-up all beverages, food, and other equipment items.
· Deposits cash drops into the safe box in the Manager’s office.
· Follows and maintains TSA and airport security protocol.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
· Cashier experience in a food and beverage environment highly desirable.
· Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
· Basic mathematical skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.
· Ability to read, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests and take orders.
· Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods and high-volume operations.
· Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction and resolve all customer issues.
· Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
· Ability to operate a keyboard and point-of-sale procedures to pre-check an order and close out a check.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
