Aircraft Material Specialist

STS Line Maintenance is hiring Aircraft Material Specialistsin Arlington, Virginia.

• Ships, receives and stores HAZMAT materials and must become HAZMAT certified duringthe initial training period. Prior experience with management of HAZMAT materials is adefinite plus.
• Proper recording, issuing and receiving of parts/assemblies coming in or going out.
• Maintain the M&E system to current status and report system inconsistencies to PSA Supervisor.
• Maintain proper inventory levels of supplies and solvents as required.
• Perform stock transfers of parts and physically move stock from one location to another.
• Properly receive and issue parts via the M&E system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Stores Supervisor and/or Stores Manager or his/her designee.

• Shift Schedule: Various Schedules
• Candidates will be required to go through a phone screen and possible onsite interview.
• All new hires must go through and pass a MVR test. Failure to pass this test will result in the candidate to be ineligible for the position.
• They MUST have a valid Drivers License without any restrictions.
• Must hold a valid Driver License.
• Must not be under a doctors care with limited work restrictions.
• Must be able to pass a background check and obtain all necessary badging.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to ascend/descend ladders, stairs and work stands unassisted.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and stoop frequently in confined spaces.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
• Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels.
• Must have excellent communication and people skills.
• Must be able to exercise good judgment in a Team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety.
• Must have problem solving and organizational skills. Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
• Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions un-supervised at any time.
• Must own and provide a minimum set of hand tools.
• Must be willing to work shift work and will rotate between midnights and days.
• Work will be performed on various time schedules.

• Pay Rates will range from $19-$22 per hour, based on previous experience.

STS Line Maintenance operates 41 line maintenance stations throughout the United States, Bahamas, United Kingdom and France.

Skilled mechanics stand ready to handle RON maintenance, turnaround checks, non-routine discrepancy reports and ground equipment maintenance via scheduled or on-call action.
