Job description

The Maintenance Technician carries out general maintenance, troubleshooting and repair services, engages in scheduled and unscheduled inspection of components, as well as maintains all affiliated systems on aircraft in the Cirrus fleet. All work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturers specifications, and company procedure.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintains or repair of the following: aircraft, aircraft engines, aircraft components and avionics systems according to Cirrus Aviation Services and FAA specifications.
  • Performs inspections during assembly of part and after repair or installation of component.
  • Documents maintenance procedures to include: component damage, component origin, and condition of component, components or equipment.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a TSA background check and drug testing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must have an FAA Airframe and Power plant license.
  • Must be able to read and write English at a level to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals.
  • Certain duties may require working in confined spaces for a periodic time.
  • Should meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions, including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds.
  • Should possess the basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems.
  • Flexible work schedules available and willingness to work after-hours, weekends and holidays to accommodate international time zones and project/owner demands as needed.
  • Able to travel as needed to recover AOG aircraft
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Experience on Gulfstream’s, Challengers, Hawkers, Falcons and Learjets a plus.
  • Able to be self-motivated and be a problem solver.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
