Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide operational services during peak seasons.
- Apply pre and post emerge crop protection products, dry and liquid fertilizer and lime.
- Operate fertilizer tender trucks, assist with mixing fertilizer and with warehouse operations as needed.
- Fill and transport NH3 equipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading of product from vehicles based on work orders and delivery as needed.
- Assist in setup & maintenance of equipment.
- Perform standard routine maintenance and repairs to equipment throughout all areas of location including general housekeeping.
- On an as needed basis, answer incoming calls, gather accurate customer information, relay information to appropriate personnel, direct customer complaints to the proper personnel all while using good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Provides fast, efficient, and courteous service always.
- Ensure all items sold are delivered and charged in a timely manner.
- Attend product updates and service training sessions as required by the supervisor.
- Maintain the office in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Promotes the co-op by maintaining a positive image and attitude.
Position Requirements
- Must be licensed and insurable to drive.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Class A CDL with tanker and HazMat endorsements.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Applicators License
- Must have basic computer keyboard skills along with basic Microsoft Word and Excel understanding.
- Understands the importance of providing very high levels of customer service.
- Understands the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
