About Us:
Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (WRAAA) is a private non-profit corporation located, organized and designated by the State of Ohio to be the planning, coordinating and administrative agency for federal and state aging programs in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina Counties. It is one of twelve Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in the state organized together with local service provider organizations and the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) to form the state's public aging services network. The network works together to create opportunities for Ohioans to receive needed home and community services and supports; and to age successfully in their own homes and communities.
Job Duties:
  • Monitor and coach clinical and non-clinical staff assigned to team through field observations, chart audits, productivity logs etc. to ensure both quality and productivity standards are being met.
  • Ensure programmatic and contractual compliance is being attained as required by the Ohio Administrative Code, the Ohio Department of Aging, the Ohio Department of Medicaid and WRAAA Policies and Procedures.
  • Compile, analyze and submit weekly and monthly reports to the ADRC Director and/or Clinical Manager and propose ways to improve upon quality and productivity.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of staff through ongoing consultation, monthly supervision meetings and annual evaluations.
  • Model agency and departmental values and ensure staff are adhering to the mission and values of the agency
  • Facilitate communication, decision making and critical thinking for team members
  • Assist in training sessions for staff, community groups and institutions.
  • Participate in management teams to address broad clinical issues, team building, case load, best practice, and quality assurance issues.
  • Provide input/problem solving regarding program operations and possible procedural changes
  • Assist in interviewing, program development and implementation of training and orientation of ADRC staff as required.
  • Facilitate and participate in LEAN groups in order to achieve efficiencies within the department or agency
  • Provide back-up coverage to ADRC Supervisors within in the unit.
  • This position's primary duty is to perform work directly related to the successful operation of the Agency. Accordingly, the employee must exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the ADRC Director, Clinical or Director of Program Planning and Development. Specific duties may vary dependent upon team assignment.
  • Abide by the Code of Ethics of his/her profession and practice within the scope of professional licensure

Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a social worker (LSW, LISW) or registered nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio
  • Preference to LISW, or to BSN or RN with MA in related field
  • Three years prior experience in nursing, Waiver home care, home health care, medical social work, geriatrics/gerontology, or other substitute as approved by the ODA.
  • Preference given to those with at least two years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with team process, assessments, and case work preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and use of a laptop computer
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
  • Must have a valid Ohio driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance, and a car available during work days
