Join a team of teachers that provide care and developing activities to children in a positive, safe, and faith-based environment.
Duties
The Teacher is responsible for managing the day-to-day operational activities of the class. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns. Teacher will manage snack time, homework center, and play time all while maintaining a clean and safe environment. During summer school teacher will plan field trips with director assistance.
Part Time/Full Time position; 2:30-6:00 Monday through Friday; extended hours available when public school is out of session; flexible AM schedule if needed;
Drive Bus for school drop off/pick up and field trips.
Requirements
18+ yrs old
High School Diploma or GED
Pass Background Check
Pass Health Screening
6 months of licensed child care experience (preferred)
Clean driving record/meet insurance requirements
Nice To Haves
Clean driver's record/willing to drive bus (only requires standard driver's licenses)
Previous experience with this age group; tutoring experience
Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
A strong understanding of child development.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
