Aftermarket External Sales Representative

Reporting to the Director Aftermarket Sales, the Aftermarket External Sales Specialist will be responsible for helping drive growth for the Aqua-Aerobic Systems Aftermarket business through a combination of direct and indirect sales efforts with both existing and new customers for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Promote and grow aftermarket business through direct contact (visits and presentations) with new and existing customers, channel partners and representatives.
2. Identify business opportunities through knowledge of existing Aqua and competitive manufacturer’s products generally within the filtration, aeration/mixing, biological treatment and disinfection markets.
3. Conduct cold and warm calls to introduce/reinforce the Aqua brand to potential and existing customers.
4. Communicate (written and verbal) with internal and external customers to include filed evaluations, Write Site Assessment Reports after making visits to customer installations.
5. Travel either with local Sales Representatives, or solo, to customer sites to perform inspections and present opportunities for equipment rebuilds and upgrades
6. Provide technical support to Aqua-Aerobic Systems installation base in regards to selecting proper equipment for the purpose of upgrades and rebuilds.
7. Prepare marketing materials as needed, in order to support outreach to Aqua-Aerobic Systems’ installation base.
8. Other duties as assigned by the Director Aftermarket Sales in support of Aqua-Aerobic strategic goals.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Must be computer literate and have familiarity with MS Office software. Proficient keyboard skills and ability to operate a calculator, and copy . Machine.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Usual office working conditions with moderate noise such as computers and printers, telephones and copy machines.
Minimum qualifications
1. Five (5) years of proven experience in direct sales growth with primary responsibility on a technical product, preferably in an environmental industry. Experience with manufacturer’s representatives is a plus.
2. Able to read and interpret technical documents such as operating and maintenance manuals
3. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
4. Up to 50% travel required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $78,580.00 - $110,000.00 per year
