We are currently looking for a Part Time 29 After School Teacher Assistant to join our Early Childhood Center Ardmore team located at the Ardmore Head Start working .
Summary:
Assists in providing quality child care services in a secure, loving environment that promotes development for all children.
Responsibilities:
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types

- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
- May provide break coverage for others as assigned
- May augment staff in other areas as needed based on staffing and needs ratio in regularly assigned unit
- Provides environment and time to engage with child both emotionally and physically

- Provides an environment which will allow sufficient time for engagement with each child
- Assists with keeping classrooms and work areas neat and clean ensuring toys are cleaned weekly and sorted daily
- Collaborates and ensures the health, welfare and safety of the children in the group
- Articulates, evaluates and integrates development strategies for children in the classroom
- Manages all components of the classroom including correspondence with all staff and parents
- Removes potential hazards and reports them to center supervisor
- Learns and instructs students in basic Chickasaw language vocabulary
- Monitors students health needs and contacting parents when needed
- Immediately reports any potential health and well-being concerns of students required by law
- Assist in preparation of lesson planning and execution of classroom activities
- Notify teacher in less than 2 hours if child is absent
- All other duties as assigned
