Together, as part of The Renaissance Schools, we continue Lori and Toni's legacy, bringing world-class childcare to Stillwater and nurturing the next generation with passion, dedication, and love.

Our Origin Story

Lori Crosby's journey began not in education, but in the bustling realm of business. With an innate talent for commerce, Lori found herself continually exploring new ventures, buying and selling businesses in pursuit of her calling.

However, life has its way of presenting challenges that become the seeds for new beginnings.
As a mother of four children, all under the age of six, Lori faced the dilemma many parents grapple with — the high costs of quality childcare. This personal challenge, combined with her entrepreneurial spirit, sparked an idea. Instead of searching for a solution, why not create one?
Recognizing the need for collaboration to bring her vision to life, Lori sought out the best in the field. She partnered with Toni Wolfe, a director with unparalleled expertise and a reputation that made her stand out in Oklahoma. This collaboration was the catalyst that led to the foundation of The Renaissance Schools in 1996.

Their shared vision was clear: to establish a childcare institution in Stillwater that was second to none. They aimed to create a haven where children, including Lori’s own, could thrive in a nurturing environment that catered to their mental, social, and physical needs. Rooted in a desire to mirror the standards of excellence that Oklahoma State University set in higher education, Lori and Toni were determined to offer the same caliber of education for the youngest members of the Stillwater community.

Thus, The Renaissance Schools was born — not just as a business but as a personal mission, a response to a challenge, and a testament to what passion and collaboration can achieve.
