SalaryThe Teacher Assistant supports the lead teacher in the daily activities of the classroom, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The Teacher Assistant is responsible for assisting with classroom activities, mealtime, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom. The Teacher Assistant plays a crucial role in upholding the pride and educational environment of The Renaissance School.
Qualifications:
● Must be at least 18 years of age.
● High school diploma or GED required.
● Willingness to continue education and receive a minimum of twenty training hours per year from a DHS approved source.
● Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to perform job responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Daily Duties:
● Assist in greeting each child in the assigned age group.
● Assist in planning and executing daily classroom and outdoor activities. ● Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, being alert to their needs and problems, including keeping them clean and supervising bathroom needs. ● Assist in all mealtime activities.
● Help decorate the classroom with bulletin boards, pictures, children's artwork, and other displays.
● Familiarize and comply with all center policies.
● Handle discipline promptly and according to the stated discipline policy.
● Maintain a clean and presentable uniform and practice proper hygiene.
● Exhibit a positive and friendly manner at all times.
Periodic Duties:
● Attend staff meetings.
Occasional Duties:
● Attend workshops, conferences, and in-service training.
● Receive a minimum of twenty training hours annually from a DHS approved source, relevant to job responsibilities.
● Assist other staff in thorough cleaning of the center.
Other Duties:
● Perform other duties as assigned.

Lori Crosby's journey began not in education, but in the bustling realm of business. With an innate talent for commerce, Lori found herself continually exploring new ventures, buying and selling businesses in pursuit of her calling.
However, life has its way of presenting challenges that become the seeds for new beginnings.
As a mother of four children, all under the age of six, Lori faced the dilemma many parents grapple with — the high costs of quality childcare. This personal challenge, combined with her entrepreneurial spirit, sparked an idea. Instead of searching for a solution, why not create one?
Recognizing the need for collaboration to bring her vision to life, Lori sought out the best in the field. She partnered with Toni Wolfe, a director with unparalleled expertise and a reputation that made her stand out in Oklahoma. This collaboration was the catalyst that led to the foundation of The Renaissance Schools in 1996.
