SalaryBaroody Camps, Inc. provides enrichment programs to school children in various counties throughout the Virginia/Maryland area. We are looking for individuals who are interested in making a positive impact in children's lives through teaching various Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programs. STEM activities include: robotics, coding, gaming (Minecraft), science and more!
Compensation: $25-$40/hour based on experience
Projected Hours: 3-5 Hours Per Week (if able to teach multiple subjects, the ability to increase hours extends!)
Specific Locations as well around:
- Falls Church, VA
- Arlington, VA
- Centreville, VA
- Alexandria, VA
- Fairfax, VA
- Springfield, VA
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare for class each day
- Teach provided curriculum to a group of 8-15 children in a structured environment (about 1.5-2 hours per day)
- Computer, robotics kits or science equipment management
- Manage the children in an appropriate and safe manner
- Ensure students are safely dismissed following class
- Communicate effectively with children, parents and Baroody Camps staff
- Implement COVID-19 policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of classroom management and customer service skills
- Works well under pressure
- Must be available to teach at least 2-3 times per week
- Vehicle transportation required
