After School Podcast Program Leader

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Podcasting Program Leader. The ideal candidate will have a passion for podcasting and the ability to teach and inspire students to create their own podcasts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to empower young learners to express themselves, develop valuable communication skills, and explore their creativity through the medium of podcasting.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate hands-on workshops and activities to teach students how to use podcasting equipment and software effectively.
• Guide students through the process of brainstorming, researching, and selecting podcast topics that align with their interests and curriculum objectives.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students as they develop their podcasting skills, including giving tips on improving content, audio quality, and presentation style.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and sharing their ideas.
• Organize showcases or events to celebrate students' podcasting achievements and showcase their work to the school community.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of podcasting fundamentals, including audio recording equipment, editing software (e.g., Audacity, GarageBand), and podcast hosting platforms.
• Creative mindset and innovative approach to teaching, with a passion for fostering creativity and self-expression in young learners.
• Commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Afternoon shift
• After school
• Monday to Friday
