Leadways School's After-School Program, located on our school campus, provides a nurturing space for a select group of students every weekday. Our mission is to enhance student grades while building a supportive and enjoyable community. We are currently seeking an engaging and motivational instructor for Reading, Writing, Math, and Arts. Our students range from kindergarten through 4th grade. By joining our team, your passion and energy will have a profound impact on our students' learning journey. We are excited to welcome a new member who reflects our commitment to educational excellence and student success.
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience teaching K - 4th level classes or tutoring
- Strong communication skills and an ability to connect with students
- A passion for teaching, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Patience and flexibility in working with students of varying learning styles
Your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging and inspiring students through innovative teaching methods.
- Supervising students during class activities, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Assisting students with homework and school assignments, providing the support they need to excel academically and socially.
- Writing detailed, constructive class reports to track and promote student progress.
- Maintaining open and prompt communication with the Leadways School operations team and student mentors, keeping them informed of any changes or updates affecting students.
- Developing and refining class curriculum as needed, ensuring our educational content remains relevant and impactful.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
