Aesthetic Patient Sales Representative at Exclusive Plastic Surgery Practice

OVERVIEW: The Sales Representative is responsible for assisting the patient in making the decision to have surgery and assist them with payment or insurance questions. This position serves as the primary patient contact throughout the patient’s experience with Charlotte Plastic Surgery, from the initial patient contact through post-surgery follow-up. The position also serves as the primary non-medical liaison between the physician and the patient.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Makes and receives phone calls from patients seeking information about cosmetic surgery procedures. Follows a prescribed sales process to answers patient questions about practice, surgeons, procedures, and processes.
- Schedules new patient cosmetic appointments.
- Confirms appointments via telephone call.
- Schedules surgical cases for all doctors. Works with OR staff on final scheduling for surgical cases.
- Meets with patient at time of consultation to discuss surgery, consultation with surgeon, answer questions, discuss concerns, develop quote for procedures, print quote and discuss with patient. Coordinate financing for patient as necessary.
- Provides patient interaction, including timely follow-up with letters, calls, e-mail, web contacts, etc.
- This is a sales type position with monthly and annual goals and targets.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:
- Previous cosmetic surgery experience required.
- Sales experience preferred.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Windows to include Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems preferred.
- Internet software.
